I can not believe that it is already almost Wed, a week from when I will be heading to Denver to meet the rest of the S. Africa team! My excitement is building, and even though it has been a long journey to this point, it is amazing seeing how faithful God is each step of the way!
In the past four or five days I have received $800 more for my support for the trip. I am down to only around $1500 left to raise. Although that seems like a lot, I know that to God it is hardly anything because He is big enough! I would look to encourage any of you that have ever thought of going on a mission trip to never be discouraged from going because of not having enough money. Raising money is hard to do but it is such a big way of trusting God. Please continue praying that I get the rest of the money in.
I am having a Chick-Fil-A fundraiser night in Grand Junction on Thursday. Everyone who goes in between 5 and 8 pm and says they are there because of my mission trip will make it possible for me to get a percentage of the amount they spend on a meal. It will hopefully be a great way for me to get another big portion of the amount left raised. This is getting very exciting!
Please also be in prayer for me and my entire family. I am actually down in Texas right now spending some time with my grandfather, who just found out he has stage four cancer. I really wanted to spend some time with him before I left so I ended up getting a ticket and flying down on Sunday. I'm so glad that I had this opportunity and it has been a great time hanging out with him, my grandmother, and many other family members I haven't seen in awhile.
Well, I just wanted to update everyone on what has been going on. I'm not sure when I'll write more but guess what?! In just one week I'll be able to start writing about my trip!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

Hi Natalie, It is 8:57 am July 4th here in Fort Worth and probably around 4 pm in S. Africa. You are to be arriving soon in J. and we are so hoping your plane trip went well and you were able to sleep okay. What movies did you see? I pray for you everytime I think about you. We are having all the Herron family over at 2 pm today to celebrate the 4th. Then tomorrow morning dad and I leave for Colorado. Amanda, Vienna, Lelia, and Wayne got home safely. When you have some spare time and of course a computer, please email us. We love you so much! Mom and Dad
