Three Weeks Until Africa!

Hi everyone!  I have never done one of these blogs before, but I wanted to be able to have a place where I could write all of my friends and family at once while I am over in S. Africa.  I hope this makes it easier to see what is happening with me and for you to know what to pray for while I am there.
First of all, I just want to thank each and every one of you for your support, both money wise and through prayer! I cannot believe that it has only been five months since I first heard about this opportunity to spend the month of July in Pretoria, S. Africa.  It seems like it has been much longer than that and so I can't believe that it is almost here!
For those of you who do not know much about my trip, I will be flying to S. Africa on July 3rd and spending three and a half weeks in the university city of Pretoria, S. Africa. I will be with a team of 30 to 35 students and staff with the group, Campus Crusades for Christ. We will be spending about 2 weeks sharing Christ and getting to know the students at the university there and then will work at a place called Beam Africa with the week and a half we have left. Beam Africa is a place children from all around come to eat and adults come to take classes on basic job skills.  We will also have the opportunity to go to a safari one day and spend a weekend down in Cape Town.
I am very excited to see what all God has planned for our team down there. Please continue praying for us all. Pray that as the last three weeks are here, we would continue getting all the support we need.  Many of us are at or around 50% support raised, but we know that God will provide and so now comes the time of big time trusting. Another big prayer request is for all of those we will be coming into contact with over there. Please pray that they would be ready to hear the gospel and that they would see the love God has for them.
I will update this blog with any news I have before I leave in three weeks, so if you want to check back occasionally, that would be great! Thanks again to all of you for all your support! Have an amazing week!

Our prayers are with you. We pray that each of you will grow and draw nearer to God and to one another, as you share and work with the South Africans. We love you!
